Find yourself a caboose.

Jack (my four year old) and I were playing with trains when he assertively stated: ‘I need to find a caboose friend for Thomas the Train.’ He explained to me that he needed the caboose to push Thomas around the train track.

Turns out that in real life, the train's caboose (which sits at the back of the train) not only offers a ‘push’ to the train when it needs it, but it could also be a warm shelter for the crew, and a place to help spot problems with the train.

Maybe Jack is onto something. Maybe, just like Thomas the Train, we all need at least one ‘caboose friend.’ Because as it turns out, this life journey is so much better when someone’s got our back.
