Grateful.

Reminder: some of our hardest times can also be our greatest teachers. Finding gratitude in those moments might just move you in new ways. 

I am grateful for what I’ve lost,
So I can remember to honor what I have.

Because I know he will grow up.

So I can feel the thrill of being lifted up.

I am grateful to have felt ice in my veins,
Because I can also melt in the warmth of love.

I am grateful for sadness,
So I can also know joy.

I am grateful for the little moments, 
Because they all add up.

I am grateful for the dark,
So I can know the light.
