Sweat the small stuff.

I decided to take a more relaxed vacation with my kiddo Jack this winter break. It meant time for slow mornings, bike rides during rain breaks, hot cocoa and coffee in the little bakery, impromptu games, couch snuggles, and more. It’s been a really nice way to bring in 2025.

What I realized is that these tiny little moments with Jack, my dog Lizzy, my friends, and even by myself are the moments that fill me up. While I of course love the big adventures to new cities or countries, there’s something really special about slowing down to enjoy and pay attention to the prosaic moments of our lives.

Don’t sweat the small stuff” typically means to let worries and little things go. Perhaps though, it’s the small stuff that makes all the difference.
